Workshops, Groups and Summer Programmes

Our Child and Adolescent Groups, Workshops, and Summer Programmes provide safe, supportive spaces where young people can connect with their peers, build confidence, and develop practical skills for everyday life.

Programmes are offered after school and during school breaks, with themes and activities tailored to participants’ ages and developmental needs. Depending on the programme, children and teens may strengthen skills in areas such as:

• Understanding and managing emotions
• Coping with stress and difficult experiences
• Communicating effectively
• Building confidence and self-esteem
• Solving problems and resolving conflict
• Developing friendships and healthy relationships
• Preparing for school transitions

Young people learn through age-appropriate discussions, role-playing, creative activities, therapeutic games and shared experiences with their peers. Current and past programmes have included social skills groups, Girl Code, Parent-Teen Connect, and back-to-school programmes.

Our Family Workshops and Groups help parents and caregivers feel more informed, confident, and supported as they navigate the challenges of family life.

Generally offered during evening hours, these psychoeducational sessions provide practical information, tools and opportunities for families to learn and problem-solve together. Topics may include positive parenting and discipline strategies, managing stress and challenging behaviours, strengthening family bonds, co-parenting, building healthy blended families, neurodiversity, budgeting, and healthy family communication.

Offerings vary throughout the year according to the needs of children, teens and families in our community.
