A Christmas Message of Hope from our Executive Director

Dear Friends of Family Centre,

The holiday season is upon us, a time when many people pause to look back on the past year, share time with family and friends, and look ahead to the possibilities of a new year.
Families often want peace, wellness, and health for their loved ones.  We all want an opportunity to prosper and thrive, and to live in a strengthened and safe community that we can call ‘home.’  This helps to provide hope that there is always a new day with new opportunities for healing and change to occur.

At Family Centre, we see hope in the eyes of the children, teens, and families we work with throughout our Counselling Services, Youth Leadership Academy, Beyond Rugby programmes, and Beyond Yoga programme.  There is hope for positive change and that the future can be brighter.

We feel hope by the partnerships we have with other organizations and individuals wanting to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.  We also feel tremendous hope by the generosity of our donors who invest in Family Centre’s continuum of care.  We could not do what we do without our partners and donors!

Thank you to our clients who trust us to deliver on our mission to facilitate healing, hope, and connection to strengthen families and create a healthier Bermuda for our children. Thank you to our staff, interns, coaches, volunteers, and Board members who make the magic happen at Family Centre.  They ensure that our programmes, services, initiatives, and events are delivered with Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Empowerment.  These are Family Centre’s core values (I-CARE), which we are proud to uphold.

As we reflect on our blessings this holiday season, I encourage everyone to take a moment to celebrate the ways you have contributed to your own wellbeing, resilience, your family, and our Bermuda community over the past year.

May your holiday season be joyful, hopeful, and the new year be a prosperous one.

With gratitude,

Dr. Sandy De Silva, PsyD
