As the Government of Bermuda’s mask mandate changes came into effect on April 1st, 2022, we have amended Family Centre’s client, guest, and staff protocols in further alignment with the announced changes. For some persons, these and future protocols might be experienced as stressful while others might appreciate the capacity for more freedom of personal choice. As an organization, we join with other entities who strongly encourage mask wearing and other safety measures for the most vulnerable and at risk persons, and for those whose personal choice is to continue wearing a mask in all venues.

Our goal is to remain vigilant and to be guided by government guidelines and all Covid-19 protocols. We look forward to moving beyond the pandemic, albeit with caution, as we continue this journey together.

Before visiting Family Centre, please become familiar with our COVID-19 Safety protocols.

Client/Guest Protocol (as of February 8, 2023)

Clients/Guests are required to follow these protocols:

  1. Ring the doorbell for entry into the Family Centre building.
  2. Indoor mask wearing is encouraged but not mandated in the building.
  3. Outdoor mask wearing is not required on Family Centre premises, but can be worn outdoors by personal choice.
  4. Use antibacterial soap to wash your hands or hand sanitizer immediately upon entering the building and frequently while in the building.
  5. Maintain physical distance (2 metres/6 ft) from the person you are meeting and other guests to the building unless they are part of the same household.
  6. Refrain from dropping young people off for an extended period before appointment time. Similarly, older youth, adult clients, and guests should not arrive to spend extended time in Reception.
  7. Be prepared to possibly wait in your vehicle or outside of the building in order to ensure we can maintain the appropriate physical distancing, until you are notified that you may enter the building for your appointment.
  8. Limit the number of persons arriving with you to the persons who are in your actual appointment.
  9. Promptly exit the building once the appointment is finished.

For your safety, Family Centre staff will ensure that:

  1. The staff person promptly meets you to eliminate extended waiting time in Reception.
  2. Air purifiers run in Reception and both large meeting rooms to support healthy air quality.
  3. When possible, windows will be opened to allow fresh air ventilation.
